"Primeiro, é de se ressaltar a ótima trama desenvolvida pelo autor, em um mundo paralelo inspirado pela época medieval. Decidi comprar a coleçao para saber além da famosa série da HBO, e escolhi o idioma original para fazer uma leitura fiel da obra. Realmente, quando se lê o livro, muitas questoes deixadas ao assistir os episódios da série sao facilmente respondidas. Quanto à qualidade do material, realmente gostei, a capa brochura nao parece inferior à uma dura, e as paisagens retratadas sao lindas. As folhas sao finas e leves, o que torna o livro fácil de carregar, para quem, como eu, lê em vários lugares, sendo o único ponto negativo que constatei que algumas tem um mal acabamento que as faz que facilmente se rasguem."
"As ediçoes da Harper Voyager - editora britânica de George Martin - sao definitivamente a melhor escolha para quem estiver procurando a série em inglês. A qualidade do box e dos livros é muito superior à ediçao americana da Bantam Books: os livros sao mais bem diagramados, mais confortáveis e o papel é de maior qualidade (além de nao ser escuro / acinzentado). Essa ediçao, especificamente, é um primor de qualidade. O box é o suficientemente resistente e tem um design muito elegante; os livros, por sua vez, dispensam apresentaçoes: cada capa traz uma imagem mais deslumbrante que a outra, além de contar com uma textura (imperceptível na imagem) e com o título e o nome do escritor em alto relevo. O papel é de ótima qualidade (bem superior ao da ediçao de bolso da própria Harper Voyager), ainda que alguns dos livros parecem ter sido impressos em um papel que seria o meio termo entre as duas ediçoes. Os livros sao leves e muito confortáveis, apesar do número expressivo de páginas. É importante mencionar que nesse box, a HV decidiu dividir tanto o terceiro ("A Storm of Swords") quanto o quinto ("A Dance with Dragons") livros em dois volumes, devido ao fôlego dessas duas obras. Recomendadíssimo para quem quer se arriscar em uma leitura em inglês mais desafiadora, mas cujas recompensas sao grandes e frequentes. Só nao dou cinco estrelas porque o padrao alto do papel nao se manteve em todos os sete volumes."
